Is there a progressive alternative to Senator Feinstein that has a chance at challenging her when she comes up for election? Her vote on the FISA bill has me ready to support someone else.
Where's Rove? The arogant liar seems to be hiding.
Title says it all!
Karl Rove should resign too (along with Rumsfeld)! He blew the election for his boss.
Weather looks grim in VA tomorow. We could spec all afternoon about what that does to prospects there. Rainy in Ohio in the afternoon as well. Could work both ways I suppose.
I've been watching the polls up and down main street as well as in the more obscure neighborhoods. I'm very hopeful and optimistic for a Dem take over in at least the House, if not the Senate as well.
HOWEVER, when money is involved, people make bets based on making more money regardless of their opinion on the outcome. Hence watching the market bets have a very leveling affect on opinion, polls and spin.
The political market trading exchanges have been putting the the Senate and House turn overs at a surprisingly lower chance than how I'm reading the polls and dem blog spin.

On Iraq, there is an angle that I haven't heard debated that is essentially this: 'Stay the course, but expose and fire the bums who got us in there in the first place for their (on the mild side) bad decision making and/or (on the heavier side) total lieing and deceiving ways to try and impose a Neo-Con theory without having the honesty to say that's what the believed in and were doing.'
I think it is a real possibility that drawing down troops too quickly in Iraq could leave a dangerous turmoil in the region that could be worse than taking our time to back away slowly and as events unfold. That is debatable. But Dems shouldn't have to be scared of that debate as if it is aligning them with the Bush-Cheney team.
By saying that a 'stay the course' plan might be the way to go does NOT mean the Bush-Cheney team shouldn't be completely exposed and fired (in the sense of removing Republican leadership that agreed with them at all government levels as elections times come around).
The Bush-Cheney team wanted to run the White House in a more corporate manner. Well, in a corporation, if a CEO is given the chance to stear the company in a certain direction and it flops, they get fired, regardless of whether their view of correcting their mistake makes sense. They had their chance and they were wrong....Good-Bye, we'll take it from here.
